Could be. Variety publishes (or did--I haven't subscribed in a few years)
an alphabetical list of the names (no bios, just names and dates) of every
person in the industry who got a Variety obituary in the previous year. It
easily runs to a thousand or so, as I recall. And several pages.

I think my favorite was "Silver Bullet" where he played a little boy
confined to a wheel chair and his uncle (Gary Busey) fixed it so it would go

No, I think it's perfectly fine and reasonable to take an industry to
task when they publicly eulogize a flash-in-the-pan director like
they've never done before in the Academy's broadcast history, while
keeping former stars and Oscar nominees Dorothy McGuire and Richard
Todd off the "In Memoriam" altogether.

Here's a list of people who were in the Turner Classic Movies memorial who
did not make the cut for the Oscar memorial. It's hard to think of any of
them that aren't pretty egregious omissions.
Then again, the Oscars limit the list to about 30, and with that figure,
biggies are ALWAYS going to be missing.

I did that back when the toonies first came out, when Interac wasn't
everywhere. The first year my toonies added up to $476, or enough for
