Old man purple then tequila and grape juice. That would be a 16 once glass, one third ice, one quarter tequila and the rest grape juice. We would takel the pretty ladies we would meet at Hussongs to the beach at San Miguel and introduce them to mexican wine coolers (tequila/grape juice). They loved them and I still do. Oh, and old man purple grows in most of the closets in my area.

PTE is not bad. Best? ymmv Though it was a favorite for awhile. Scored today with 4 botles of Firestone Walker 13th Anniversary and a bunch of 2009 Abyss, even if it is from Oregon ; ). A soon to be side by side tasting 12th Anniversary and 13th soon to come. As well as the 2008 and 2009 Abyss.

Dude, if you're ever in the Bay Area: we gotta have some hops.

I would love to be up there next week for KDTU at The Independant. Bit probably not. Slight chance of going to Railroad Earth at the Fillmore 12/27 and 28. Where do you usually go? Toronados? What bottle shop do you hit up?

Tell me how you like them. The tequila whisks the vitamin C out of the body and the grape juice puts it right back in. The grape juice takes the bite out of the tequila, in fact after to first couple sips you'll think you are drinking grape juice but don't let it fool you. It's kind of like 'maybe I should have one more brownie". We used to buy cheap tequila as the grape juice overpowers it but we were young and on the minimal surfing budget. Now I generally use Cuervo Gold and Paul Newmans grape juice from Costco. Good stuff, had a couple tonight watching the Magic/Celts game. I was a little worried the Celts might be pretty good this year but I'm thinking now that may not be the case.

Toronado is in the Haight in SF; it's a great beer spot, but I'm in Berkeley (East Bay), so I hit Ben N Nicks, Barclay's, Lanesplitter, Jupiter, or Triple Rock. The best shop for a humongous variety of bottled brews is Ledger's on University. They were the first to get in massive shipments of PTE when Vinnie started bottling the stuff and distributing.
If you're ever in the Bay Area and want to beer-bar hop but want to avoid driving, check out this site:

I had one earlier myself...I had about 2 1/2oz of tequilla left in the bottle and I shook it in a margarita shaker with the grape juice and some crushed ice...I liked it...now I have to get another bottle of tequilla 8-/ I made some brownies for my wife 2nite too...the coop here gives me a couple 1/2 cup squares of butter when they deliver the other meds...

Makes me think somebody needs to make a Shannon Brown Lager
